Cookie Policy

What are cookies?

A cookie is a small data file that is placed on your computer by your browser when you visit certain websites, including ours.  They improve things by measuring how you use the website so we can make sure it meets your needs.  Our cookies aren’t used to identify you personally. They’re just here to make the site work better for you and to give us useful information on the numbers of visits our site receives.

They’re used for many things, such as remembering whether you’ve visited the site before, so that you remain logged in – or to help us work out how many new website visitors we get each month. They contain information about the use of your computer but don’t include personal information about you (they don’t store your name, for instance).  Most browsers allow you to turn off cookies and this can often be done in the help section of your browser. Turning off cookies will limit your online experience.

We use Google Analytics to collect information on how people use our site.   We do this to make sure it’s meeting its users’ needs and to understand how we could do it better.  Google Analytics stores information about what pages you visit, how long you are on the site, how you got here and what you click on. We do not collect or store your personal information (e.g. your name or address) so this information cannot be used to identify who you are. We do not allow Google to use or share our analytics data.

Further information on cookies can be found here and here.

Don’t want us to use this cookie? Please use Google’s cookie opt-out page:
