Pictfor Announces New Officers

Pictfor recently held our Inaugural Meeting to establish our APPG for the new Parliament. We are pleased to announce the election of our new Parliamentary officers.

As the All-Party Parliamentary Group for tech, the Parliamentary Internet, Communications and Technology Forum (Pictfor) provides a unique opportunity for Parliamentarians and members of the tech industry to meet, understand priorities within the sector and share ideas on how to continue to strengthen the UK’s position as a leading digital economy.

Many of our officers have been involved with Pictfor previously and have devoted a significant amount of time to our success. We are delighted that many of them have elected to return as officers.

We are also enthusiastic that new Parliamentarians are involved as officers for the first time – giving us more officers than ever before.

Our officers include members of both houses, from a number of different political parties including the Conservatives, Labour, Liberal Democrats and the SNP, as well as cross-benchers. They have diverse interests in the internet, communications and tech sectors and the MPs represent constituencies from across the UK.

We are delighted to welcome new officers to Pictfor, including Vicky Ford MP, our new Co-Chair, alongside officers who have been involved with Pictfor for some time.

We are pleased to congratulate our officers who have recently been appointed to new positions. Matt Warman MP, who has stepped down as Pictfor’s Co-Chair, has been appointed PPS to the Rt Hon Karen Bradley MP Secretary of State for Digital, Culture, Media and Sport. Former Pictfor officer Nigel Huddleston MP has been appointed PPS to the DCMS Ministerial team.

James Heappey MP has been appointed the PPS to the Rt Hon Chris Grayling, Secretary of State for Transport and Scott Mann MP as the PPS to the Department of Transport Ministerial team.

Kevin Hollinrake MP has been appointed the PPS to the Rt Hon Michael Gove MP, Secretary of State for Environment, Food and Rural Affairs.

Louise Haigh MP is now Shadow Home Office Minister for Policing.
