2. Election of Officers

Parliamentarians in attendance unanimously approved the election of the four proposed officers:

Dame Caroline Dinenage MP as Chair and Registered Contact
Samantha Niblett MP as Co-Chair
Baroness Neville-Rolfe as Treasurer
Lord Clement-Jones as Fourth Officer

3. Review of Necessary Documents

Under the guidance of the Independent Chair, David Mundell MP, the attendees reviewed and approved the Group’s Annual Report, Income and Expenditure, and Due Diligence Statement.

4. Finances

Following the approval of the Income and Expenditure Statement, the Group Secretariat provided a wider update on the Group’s finances including the current levels of membership, sponsorship, and plans to widen the membership in 2026.

A number of attendees suggested organisations that they would like to see become part of the Group, while cautioning against becoming involved with any organisations that may reflect badly on the Group.

PICTFOR’S income and expenditure form statement can be found here.

5. 2026 Events Plan

The attendees then discussed the draft events programme for the year ahead, compiled after extensive consultation with the wider membership. Attendees, including Baroness Blower, particularly welcomed the focus on skills for the year ahead. Lord Mackenzie suggested that, where possible, the Group coordinate with other relevant APPGs to host joint events and increase our impact. Baroness Neville-Rolfe proposed that the Intellectual Property event be timed to coincide with the Intellectual Property report due to be published in the coming months. Attendees agreed that artificial intelligence is such a wide ranging topic that a question on it should be incorporated into every event for the year.

6. AOB

Baroness Neville-Rolfe upon no further business being raised, thanked those present before closing the meeting.
